Bell museum
(the Paccard Foundry Museum)


Opened in 1984 in Annecy-le-Vieux,
and transferred in 1989 to the bank of the lake or Annecy, in Sevrier,
the Bell Museum has assembled and exhibits a collection of tools, documents, engravings, diverse objects, photographs and bells,
all of which retrace the history of the bell and the Paccard Foundry.

 

The main hall has a ticket office as well as a gift shop and various objects including a Chinese bell,
a Paccard bell, etc..

The visit includes a 20 minute
film which shows the casting
of the biggest bells in the world,
a 12 minute slide show on the making of bells and naturally a visit to the various exhibit rooms
of the museum.

The total visit varies in time
from three quarters of an hour
to an hour.
